Mama, FLOOM me please

Yesterday was the first day of school for my son. As the prior week progressed, his sniffles got worse & by Friday he had a cough. What’s a Mama to do? Why FLOOM of course!

FLOOM is an acronym for the oils in the wonderful blend that supports your immune system:

  • Frankincense
  • Lemon
  • OnGuard
  • Oregano
  • Melaleuka (Tea Tree Oil)

Below is the recipe for adults. For children, use 1+2+2+1+1 drops.

Our whole family started FLOOMing on Friday evening by rubbing the blend on the bottoms of our feet morning & evening. By the first day of school, my son was still a little tired, but sniffle free! Since I try not to use Tea Tree Oil (Melaleuka) for more than 3 days in a row, we’re taking a break, but will FLOOM again at the end of the week.

Next time you feel something coming on, get an immune system boost and FLOOM!

Please note: the proceeding statements about essential oils are my personal opinion. Products and methods mentioned are in no way intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. This information is not intended to replace proper medical help. These are simply things that have worked for me personally.

The First Day of School

The first day of a new school year is a magical time. What will this time hold? What will I learn? Will I be able to play with my favorite bike during break :-)? To help you and your littles remember these times, I found the below First Day of School Questions. I don’t remember where I got these from, so I’m sorry! (PerhapsĀ www.positivelysplendid.com?)

Learning About Frankincense Oil

I envisioned this site to be full of good things that either I personally or someone close to me has tried. My newest learning topic is Frankincense. Since I’ve just recently started, I haven’t posted, but I thought I’d invite you to join me. Because I’m tired and feeling lazy, I decided to start learning with a video šŸ™„. Want to learn with me?

This first lesson in Frankincense 101 is about how the oil is sourced. For me, class is now out so I can go to bed- good night šŸ˜“!

Respect is the basis of the EducaringĀ®Ā Approach.

  • Goal: an Authentic Child – one who feels secure, autonomous, competent, and connected
  • Trust in the infant’s (child’s) competence
  • Sensitive Observation –Ā to understand the infantā€™s communications and his needs
  • A safe, challenging, predictable environment – whereĀ the child can best do all the things that the child would do naturally
  • Time for uninterrupted play
  • Consistency

Update

First, the Small Steps

I started this journey about two months ago. I’ve been learning as much as I can about Essential Oils – their impact on your health, how to use them topically, how to diffuse them, how to blend them…

DYI Glass Pot

I even made my first DYI – a face wash. It’s soft, good smelling and works well. But the best part is that there are no chemicals in it. Just good, old-fashioned nature. I’ll be posting my DYI projects soon. And then it’ll be onto cooking with Essential Oils!

Oderwitz Path Field

Down the road I’ll be building the Creativity and Next GenerationĀ pages. Have patience as I work on this labor of love. Please check back frequently and join me on the journey down The Other Path!
